In parts of the world where electricity is hard to come by solar powered devices come in pretty handy. In many rural areas people  only make between $400 and $4,000 a year in income and didn’t have easy access to electricity..So they have turned to the  Duron,  solar home power system.
This device can run them about $130 & it allows users to generate and store solar energy, charge gadgets and appliances, and run LED lights.

The Duron has a 5 watt solar panel, a cell phone charger connection, three LED lights, and an AC grid charger.
When the system is fully charged — a process that takes a day of soaking up sunlight — it can power three hours of bright lighting or 10 hours of dim lighting.
So far, Duron’s customers have included schools and small businesses that rely on consistent access to electricity to do their work.
The company sells a few thousand devices each month, but that number is expected to grow as Duron scales up its efforts. With a virtually endless supply of people who could use the device (3 billion people live without reliable access to power), we have no doubt that Duron will be successful.

Designer Daizi Zheng has designed the Coke Phone. This is an eco friendly phone for Nokia, which runs on Coca-Cola drinks or any sugary water.
This phone’s fuel cells generates electricity from carbohydrates(sugar)
The bio battery in the phone generates electricity from carbohydrates (currently sugar) and utilizes enzymes as the catalyst. So it only needs a pack of sugary drink and it generates water and oxygen while the battery dies out. Bio batteries have  the potential to operate three to four times longer on a single charge than conventional lithium batteries and it could be fully biodegradable.
This is coke that gives back..to the environment.
